»If we dance all night, we look good.«
At home in the genre: From classical to jazz, pop, punk, avant-garde and electronic music, we love to celebrate in the international arena: Musique Couture is rooted in the music scene, has the sense of the past as well as the cutting edge, and has a broad international network of artists and agencies. Together we are a band.
A trade in hand finds gold in every land: Katrin Erichsen learned music from the ground up and did her training at Polygram in Hamburg. And furthermore: She was there for years as Head of Marketing for Electronic Music at Motor Music, turned German dance into gold records with Low Spirit, and made Mayday a cool event. Later, at X Filme, her work included the conception of soundtracks for films by Tom Tykwer. She has been working as a freelance music consultant for over 10 years, advising clients such as the Autostadt (Volkswagen AG) Wolfsburg in all musical matters. This also includes curating a music festival in the context of Movimentos Festival with Detlef Diederichsen, as well as designing playlists for client such as KaDeWe, Cosmo Hotel or the Ritz Carlton and advising for brands in general. At Musique Couture, Katrin Erichsen is in charge of the Brands department.
Aleks Skwarc’s music career began in the mid-nineties, when she hosted a hip-hop radio show at the Hamburg radio station FSK. Together with Lawrence (Dial Records), she held the legendary “In Love With” evenings in Hamburg Golden Poodle Club and during the day she worked with international electronic artists at Motor Musik. In Berlin since 2006, she began booking at the 103 Club, and later at the Tausend Bar and SCALA, where she booked live acts such as Chromeo, Metronomy, Junior Boys, Tame Impala and Trentemöller. She founded her own booking agency in 2008. As a DJ, she is always on the go, either alone or teamed up with her friends Tiefschwarz, Lawrence, Fetisch, Munk and many others. And anyone who knows her as DJ Bonnie knows that the candle burns at both ends! Aleks Skwarc is mainly responsible for DJ booking, mixes, compilations and music for fashion shows and events at Musique Couture. More about DJ Bonnie can be read at www.musique-couture.com/bonnie
Charlotte is one of the most prominent German music managers. After working in London and Munich, for example at Sub Up and Disko B, she joined the Hamburg indie label L’age d’Or in 1991 and helped the guys there to establish the Hamburger Schule. She founded her own label Ladomat2000 on which she brought out more eccentric artists, as the author Rainald Goetz describes in his book “Rave”. This was followed by jaunts as A&R for record companies (Electro-Motor for Tocotronic and Whirlpool Productions and Mute Records for Andreas Dorau and Wignomy Brothers) and works with Tina Funk for a considerable amount of great music in films that would normally hardly be possible to license. As an A&R consultant she is at home in the studio and music production. Producing scores is her passion – gladly with even the most eccentric of artists. At Musique Couture, she is responsible for tasks relating to film music, publishing, management and music production: consulting, selection, production support, rights clearance and contracts – for original film music as well as for the use of existing songs in films. More information about her previous work for films, bands, music publishers and record labels can be found at www.charlotte-goltermann.de
