Musique Couture compiled a new playlist for Oberpollinger “Living.”
After the concept store “The Storey” and the area for kidswear has been newly designed and reopened the fourth floor of Oberpollinger got a makeover. Under the direction of architect John Pawson who is responsible for the overall design of the department store, a new 4.500 square meter area called “Living” has just been created.
The result is a mixture of Japanese aesthetics and alpine themes. The floor is made of wooden floorboards in different arrangements. Light wood and transparent partitions create a elegant, generous as well as warm and homely character. The integrated milk bar invites guests to relax in between premium
products of manufactures as KPM or Meissen, as well as design by Vitra or Hay.
We began with this new conception by the end of 2016 to give the according areas at KaDeWe and Alsterhaus a sound. Since the opening of the new floor at Oberpollinger this playlist is part of the interior and provides the fitting musical surrounding. Songs by artists like Hauschka, Blood Orange, Max Richter and Elliot Smith create a contrast of elegance and comfort.
A handpicked selection can be found in our “Living” Spotify Playlist.
